💡Key Phrases and Explanations

en direction de

"towards / going to" This phrase is widely used in transportation contexts: trains, buses, even road signs. You can simply replace the place name: *en direction de Marseille*, *en direction de l’aéroport*.

c’est quelle voie pour … ?

"which platform is for … ?" Very practical structure. Change "voie" (platform) to other words: *c’est quelle sortie pour la tour Eiffel ?* (which exit is for the Eiffel Tower?).

sans arrêt

"without stopping" A fixed phrase in announcements. You can also use it in everyday life: *Il parle sans arrêt* (He talks non-stop).

entrer en gare

"to arrive at the station" Specialized for trains. But the pattern *entrer en …* is useful elsewhere: *entrer en classe* (to enter the classroom), *entrer en scène* (to come on stage).

il ne faut pas + infinitif

"one must not / should not + verb" A very general way to state rules or warnings. Example: *Il ne faut pas fumer ici* (You must not smoke here), *Il ne faut pas courir* (You shouldn’t run).
